New faculty members join Idaho State University’s Division of Health Sciences

The Idaho State University Division of Health Sciences announces new hires this academic year, including Rick Tivis and Elizabeth Morgan at ISU-Meridian.

Morgan is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. A nationally certified sign language interpreter, she teaches sign language studies and interpreting courses.

As the assistant director of ISU’s new Idaho Center for Health Research, Tivis assists with all aspects of statistical analysis with expertise in using large data sets. He is also a co-director of the Community Health Screening Program, sponsored by ISU-Meridian, Ada County and other community partners.

Other recent hires on the Pocatello Campus include:
John Fenstermaker, clinical associate professor, Family Medicine Residency Program; L. Derek Gerber, clinical assistant professor, Department of Physical and Occupational Therapy; Rachel Smetanka and Talia Sierra, assistant professors, Department of Physician Assistant Studies; Chad Yates, assistant professor, Counseling; Rebecca Hoover, clinical assistant professor, College of Pharmacy; and Robert A. Myers., visiting professor, College of Pharmacy.
