ISU Marketing and Communications

The Pocatello Branch of the American Association of University Women annual used book sale will be held at the Idaho State University Reed Gymnasium west foyer on Friday, Oct. 11 from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Parking is free on campus after 4 p.m. Friday and on Saturday. Some metered parking is available in the parking lot off of Martin Luther King Jr. Way and on Red Hill Road. A large supply of fiction and non-fiction books will be available. With the exception of specialized sets or antique books, the AAUW will sell the books for $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardbound. Proceeds support local AAUW-sponsored educational workshops for women entering the workforce.

Donations will be accepted until Oct. 4 for the sale, and can be left in the wooden box in the entrance to the ISU Continuing Education Building located at 1001 N. 7th Street near City Hall during business hours on weekdays. AAUW does not accept magazines, textbooks, or Reader’s Digest Condensed Books. However, all other hardbound and paperback books are appreciated. A selection of used books is available for sale at the Pocatello Co-op on an ongoing basis.

The AAUW mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research. Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Idaho State University is an institutional partner of the Pocatello Branch and students enrolled at ISU are eligible to receive a free e-Student Affiliation membership.
