Idaho State University Alumni 2013 Homecoming week events planned Oct. 3-5

Idaho State University's Homecoming 2013 with the theme "50 Years of Celebrating U" will highlight the 50-year anniversary of Idaho State University becoming a four-year university.

A variety of alumni events will be held culminating Oct. 5 with the Homecoming Parade at 9:30 a.m. and football game at 2:05 p.m. in Holt Arena.

"Homecoming this year will be a special celebration," said K.C. Felt, director of Alumni Relations. "Not only are our award recipients an amazing group that is supportive and committed to Idaho State, but we will be celebrating our 50-year anniversary as a four-year university. We have a full slate of events planned for alumni and friends and are anxious to welcome everyone back to campus."

Below is a listing of ISU Homecoming events sponsored by the ISU Office of Alumni Relations and the ISU Alumni Association. Additional events will be sponsored by the Associated Students of ISU.

• Thursday, Oct. 3:

      • 6-9 p.m. – Homecoming Kickoff and Pocatello Chamber Business After Hours celebration at Pinehurst Nursery and Floral, 4101 Pole Line Road, (just off N. Yellowstone Ave) in Pocatello. There is no admission fee, food will be provided, beverages will be available for purchase and great items will be available through both a silent auction and raffle.

Friday, Oct. 4:

      • 6 p.m. – Presidents' Alumni Recognition Reception and Dinner in the Main Ballroom of the Pocatello Red Lion Hotel. Scheduled events include a reception at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and Recognition of Alumni Award recipients at 8 p.m. Cost is $40 per person. • Saturday, Oct. 5:

      • 9:30 a.m. – Homecoming Parade through downtown Pocatello, starting at First and Center and ending at Holt Arena parking lot.

      • 2:05 p.m. – Homecoming football game in Holt Arena ISU vs. North Dakota with Homecoming Award recipients recognition at halftime.
