Idaho State University ‘Wonders of Physics’ demo set April 28 as finale of science/engineering festival

The Idaho State University Department of Physics and the ISU Society of Physics Students will present a "Wonders of Physics" demonstration show free of charge and open to the public on Saturday, April 28, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

The demonstration will be held in Room 140 of the ISU Physical Science Building on the southwest corner of 8th Street and Carter Street on the ISU Pocatello campus.

This will be the finale event of the Idaho Science and Engineering Festival. The show will feature the "plasmifier," the "giant vortex cannon," the "liquid nitrogen tower" and other demonstrations.

Participants can show up early for hovercraft rides, artificial geyser showers, hands-on science activities, and a candy shoot in the Physical Science Building foyer. This and other science demo shows are presented at local K-12 schools upon invitation.
