Idaho State University students enrolled in the "First Year Seminar" class in Idaho Falls will host a benefits concert for the local women's shelter on May 4 at the Red Lion Hotel located at 475 River Parkway in Idaho Falls.

Organizing the concert is part of a service-learning project for students enrolled in the class. Bands performing include 2am Logic and Liberty Lush. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the concert will begin at 8 p.m. The cost to attend is $5 and there will be a beer garden for adults 21 and older.

"We're excited for the event. Ben Howard helped us get the grant to pay for the venue, and Colette Redden has also offered to help with the event. It will be a great time," said Chelsey Gasser, a student involved in the project.
