Idaho State University Society of Physics to host Nordic Catapult Challenge on Dec. 1

Idaho State University Society of Physics Students and Blackfoot School District 55 will host an egg-flinging catapult competition on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Fort Hall Elementary School on B Avenue in Fort Hall. 

The competition is open to all elementary and middle school students in Southeast Idaho. There are no entry, registration or entrance fees, though competitors must bring their own eggs. All catapults must pass a safety inspection prior to the competition. Spectators are welcome and prizes will be awarded for the farthest and most accurate fling.
