ISU College of Technology students take home 20 medals from SkillsUSA conference

Idaho State University, College of Technology SkillsUSA Chapter members recently returned from the SkillsUSA state leadership and skills conference in Boise. Competitors representing high schools and colleges from throughout the state competed in more than 40 competitions.

ISU SkillsUSA members brought home 20 medals, of which eight are gold.

The students who placed gold in their respected competitions will travel to Kansas City, Mo, in June to represent ISU at the national competition.

SkillsUSA is a national organization which provides quality educational experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development.  It builds and enforces self-confidence, work attitudes and communication skills, emphasizing total quality at work, high ethical standards, superior work skills, life-long education and pride in the dignity of work.  SkillsUSA also promotes an understanding of the free enterprise system and involvement in community service activities.
