The Idaho State University Chinese Students Association (CSA) will present the Chinese Night Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, in the Pond Student Union Ballroom.

The event will feature a seven-course Chinese dinner and a variety of traditional and contemporary cultural demonstrations.

Among the dishes to be served are pumpkin pancakes, Chinese-style roast beef and potatoes, kung pao chicken, cold-tossed rice noodles, vegetarian delight, Yangzhou-style fried rice and hard-boiled spiced eggs. Lemonade and mineral water will be served, too.

Entertainment includes a Lion Dance, traditional Chinese dance, music performances, a fashion show and much more.

Tickets purchased in advance are $7 and are on sale from noon to 5 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Lobby. Tickets purchased at the door cost $1 more. This is a popular event that often sells out. A limit of 600 tickets will be sold.
