Idaho State University clinical laboratory science student, Katharine Eby, has been awarded a $1,500 undergraduate scholarship from the Alpha Mu Tau Fraternity, the national honorary fraternity of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science.

“This scholarship means a great deal to me. I am humbled and grateful to receive an award on the national level,” said Eby, who will graduate from the Pocatello campus in May 2010. She intends to enroll in graduate school after she receives her bachelor’s degree.

Eby, who chose to study clinical lab science because of her interests in biology and the health professions, is a 2006 graduate of Bonners Ferry High School in Bonners Ferry.

She will receive the scholarship at the 77th annual meeting of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, July 21-25, in Chicago.
