Bengal Dancers to present Nationals Farewell Performance on Jan. 12

The Idaho State University Bengal Dancers will present a Nationals Farewell Performance on Monday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. in Reed Gymnasium.

Tickets are $3 at the door.  The ISU Bengal Dancers will perform their 2009 National competition routines that they will be competing with at the Universal Dance Association Collegiate Championship (UDA) scheduled in Orlando, Fla., Jan. 17-18.

2008-09 Bengal DancersLocal dance groups also will perform, including the Century Diamond Dancers, Cope’s Dance and Fitness of American Falls, Dana Smith Dance Studio, Dance Factory, Dance Vibrations, Highland Lassies, Julie’s Danceworks of Burley, Pocatello Indianettes and Sunrise Dance Academy.  

The Bengal Dancers will have a silent auction at the performance on various donated items.

The Bengal Dancers were USA Jazz National Champions in 2008, USA Hip Hop National Champions in 2007, and have been ranked in the top three since 2004.  The 16-member squad is coached by Hilary Johnson and assisted by Lindsay Tucker.
