Montgomery Gentry, with special guest Charley Jenkins, will perform at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 7:30 p.m.

Now in their 10th year on the national stage, Montgomery Gentry can look back on one of country music’s most impressive legacies. They have released more that 20 charted singles, with anthems like “My Town” and “Hell Yeah” becoming parts of the honky-tonk landscape.

They have hit the top of the singles charts four times, with “If You Ever Stop Loving Me,” “Something To Be Proud Of,”  2007’s multiweek chart-topper “Lucky Man” and “Back When I Knew It All,” which is the fastest-rising single to date for the duo.

Opening for Montgomery Gentry will be Charley Jenkins. Jenkins recently competed on “Nashville Star,” where he was one of 12 finalists out of more than 45,000 contestants.

A native of Roosevelt, Utah, Jenkins has produced two albums. His first is titled “Round Here” and his second is “Ridin.” His friends and neighbors helped him scrape up $15,000 to produce his first CD, which left him “scared to death.”

Jenkins has been busy performing this summer and has recently opened for entertainers such as Emerson Drive, Daryl Worley, LeAnn Rimes, Kellie Pickler and Jason Aldean.

Tickets are $43 for floor seats and $36 and $31 for stands. Tickets can be purchased at the Holt Arena ticket office or by calling (208) 282-3267. Ticket office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Tickets are also available at Budget Tapes and Records in Pocatello and CD World in Idaho Falls, or online at www.isu.edu/tickets.
