Student art exhibit set in Davis Gallery through May 4

Idaho State University will display the art of ISU seniors Ailaine Higgins, Lonalee Hamlin Jr. and Lucas Siems in the John B. Davis Gallery from April 24 to May 4.

An opening reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. April 23. Davis Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is located on the bottom floor of the Fine Arts Building.

    Higgins was born in Pocatello and later moved to Boise. She graduated from Capital High School in Boise in 2000. She works with a variety of media, such as jewelry/metals, ceramics, acrylic painting, papermaking and lithography. Higgins is scheduled to complete her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree this May.

    Hamlin resides in Pocatello and has three sons. She focuses her work on mixed media sculpture, bronze casting and jewelry/metals. She is scheduled to receive her Bachelor of Arts in May.

    Siems is from southeast Idaho. He works with acrylic and oil paint and drawings in pastel. His recent work focuses on portrait drawings of family and friends. He is scheduled to complete his degree with a Bachelor in Fine Arts this May.
