ISU Spirit Squad heads to nationals; performance set March 30

The Idaho State University Bengal Dancers and Cheerleaders will be having a Nationals Farewell Performance at 7 p.m. Friday, March 30, in Reed Gymnasium.

Tickets are $3 at the door.

The ISU Bengal Dancers and Cheerleaders will perform their 2007 National competition routines that will be presented at the National Dance Alliance (NDA) and National Cheerleading Association (NCA) Collegiate Championship held in Daytona Beach, Fla., on April 5 and 6.  The Bengal Dancers finished second and won the Innovative Choreography Award at the NDA Championship 2005 and 2006.

This will be the first trip in history to the NCA Championship for the ISU Cheerleaders. Local dance and cheer groups will also be performing.

The Bengal Dancers will have a silent auction during the performance on various items that have been donated.Tryouts for the 2007-08 squads are April 21 for Bengal Dancers, and April 28 for Cheerleading.  For a tryout brochure, contact Hilary Hofmaier at 282-4547 or by e-mail at hofmhila@isu.edu.
