Idaho State University invites the public to drop its history books and explore the past of the Gate City through dance at 6 and 8 p.m. May 4 at the Old Town Pocatello Depot and Hotel Yellowstone.

ISU student dancers in association with kloetzel&co. will perform as part of First Friday ArtWalk. The performance is inspired by Old Town and will explore the history of the railroad in Pocatello as well as its connection with Hotel Yellowstone.

The dance will include film and a live swing band as the performers and the audience move from the depot to Hotel Yellowstone.

“(The dance) will be a whole new kind of performance,” said Melanie Kloetzel, director of dance at ISU. “Don’t miss your chance to experience Pocatello’s rich history in a new and exciting way.”

All events are free and open to the public.

For more information, contact Kloetzel at 282-6143 or kloemela@isu.edu.
