Family Fest set April 14 at ISU PSUB, Quad

April 11, 2007
ISU Marketing and Communications

Local residents won’t have to travel to Disneyland to see zoo animal mascots this spring. Families may come to “Curious George Comes to ISU” and see Benny the Bengal and Curious George from noon to 3 p.m. April 14 at the Idaho State University Hutchinson Quadrangle and the ISU Pond Student Union Building.

The Pocatello City Police Department, Pocatello Fire Department, Idaho Museum of Natural History and Farrs Ice Cream will help to highlight some of the stories from Curious George’s past including:

•    “Curious George Make Pancakes”

•    “Curious George Visits the Fire Station”

•    “Curious George Visits the Police Station”

•    “Curious George and the Ice Cream Shop”

•    “Curious George Flies a Kite”

There will also be inflatable toys, face painting, kite building and flying, cotton candy and snow cones. A monster truck will be displayed. Pictures with Benny and George may be taken, and children can make their own stuffed Benny and help paint the PSUB window. Prizes and book readings will take place with all activities.     The event is free and will be followed by the movie “Eragon” in the PSUB Bengal Film Theater.
