Annual ‘Tech Expo’ set for Holt Arena March 22

Idaho State University’s College of Technology and School District 25 Gateway Academies will co-host the sixth annual Tech Expo on Thursday, March 22, at Holt Arena on the ISU campus.

Expo hours will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 to 7:30 p.m. A sneak peak of the Expos will be possible during the Business Before Hours from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. to preview the displays representing School District No. 25 Gateway Academies, ISU, College of Technology programs and related business and industry.

Tech Expo highlights business, industry and educational opportunities in the region while promoting professional-technical education. The event is free and open to the public. Participants can find information on how to begin their education for an exciting career, upgrade their education and skills, or train for a new career.

More than 90 booths will provide demonstrations or hands-on activities for all ages. Featured items include the hot air balloon from the aircraft maintenance program, lasers, the human simulation ambulance lab, an electrical arch demonstration and much more. Door prizes will be given out, including a computer donated by MPC. Appreciation is extended to the Idaho National Laboratory, TIC-The Industrial Company, College of Engineering, Popcorn Shop and More, Culligan, and Coca Cola for sponsoring the 2007 Tech Expo.
