The Idaho State University Graduate Student Council will hold its next monthly meeting Nov. 9 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Selway Room of the ISU Pond Student Union Building.

The event will include addresses from Deb Easterly, Ed.D., research administrator for the Office of Research, and Cindy Hill, Ph.D., director of the Center for Teaching and Learning. Paul Hathaway, a doctoral student in political science, will update the group on the status and results of the recent web-based student survey querying student receptivity to a student fee increase to add funding support for undergraduate and graduate student research.

The group also will host President Arthur C. Vailas, Ph.D., at its end of semester celebration. The event will be held Friday, Dec. 14, at 4:30 p.m. in the ISU Pond Student Union Building Selway Room. Tom Jackson, Ph.D., dean of the Graduate School, will also attend the celebration. Both will be available to meet graduate students.

The Graduate Student Council is a newly-formed club whose purpose is to support the Graduate School. Meetings are held the second Friday of every month.
