“A Global Journey of Culture” is the theme of the Idaho State University 2007 International Night Celebration scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Oct. 20 in the Pond Student Union Building Ballroom.

“This event will definitely offer the community an excellent opportunity to experience the various flavors of the world and enjoy the variety of performances from different student associations here at ISU,” said Udipta Wagley, president of International Student Association. “We are expecting a good turn out as in past years.”

Dishes from Nepal, Albania, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, China and Nigeria will be served.

Cultural entertainment will include performances such as belly dancing, Hawaiian dance, dances performed by Indian students, musical performances by Nepalese students, a performance by the Taiko drum group, African and Nepalese dance, a flag display, a fashion show and more.

In order to add extra flavor to the celebration clubs will have displays inside the ballroom at the time of event.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the PSUB main lobby from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Tickets prices are $5 for ISU students, $6 for ISU faculty and staff, and $7 for the general public. Children 4 and under get in free. Tickets may be purchased the day of the event at the door for $1 more than advance ticket prices.
