Idaho State University will host a teacher-training workshop Sept. 29-30 for high school teachers that will prepare them to take their students to the International Economic Summit this November and April.

The summit is an interactive trading simulation that will teach students the intricacies and challenges of a global economy.

The workshop will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 29, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 30 at ISU's Garrison House. The cost of attending the workshop has been reduced from $695 to $20 per person.

Teachers can earn up to two ISU professional development credits: one credit for attending the training and the second for planning, implementing, and attending the summit on Nov. 14 or April 25. Credits are available for $50 each. Teachers must register before Sept. 21.

For more information or to register, call Janaan Haskell at 282-2359, 282-3611 or 282-3202, or e-mail her at econed@isu.edu.
