Registration set for ESL classes

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are starting in early October in Blackfoot, Pocatello and Preston.

The classes will teach students to read, write, and/or speak better English.

Blackfoot class registration will be Monday, Oct. 9, and Wednesday, Oct. 11. Registration is at the ISU Blackfoot Outreach Center located at 1443 Parkway, Suite 3, next to the Blackfoot Medical Clinic in the Albertson's Plaza. Students need to attend either day at 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. to be able to begin classes the following week. After registration, students are placed into classes based on their skill level. These classes will be held during the day on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Preston English as a Second Language (ESL) classes will start Oct. 10. Classes will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. Interested persons need to attend class on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m. to get started. Classes are at the ISU Outreach Center located at 16 South 100 West, Suite C, in Preston. For more information, call the ISU Preston Outreach Center at 852-3566.

Pocatello offers ongoing ESL classes on the ISU campus in the Roy F. Christensen Building, third floor. For registration and class information, call 282-3279.
