Idaho State University physics, Pocatello Kiwanis to host a Haunted Science Lab Oct. 29

The ISU Society of Physics Students, Kiwanis Club of Pocatello and the ISU physics department will host a Haunted Science Laboratory exhibit open to the public on Oct. 29, from 4 to 9 p.m. at 300 North Fifth Ave. at the corner of North Fifth Ave. and East Lander in Pocatello.
The Haunted Laboratory, in the Robert Allen Auto Building, features interactive exhibits designed to delight, fright and educate kids of all ages. Exhibits include a Van deGraaf generator, lasers moving to music, and lots of cool illusions with smoke and mirrors. Several exhibits use the same principles of those of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion, except that here they are explained.
The entrance fee on Saturday will be $3 per person, or $7 per family (limit six).
All proceeds will go to Kiwanis supported charities benefiting Southeast Idaho Children. Volunteers are needed for exhibit set up and to help with school field trips. Volunteers must be over the age of 18, available during public school hours, and be without a criminal record.
The exhibits are also open to schools and educational groups at no charge by appointment Monday, Oct. 24 through Friday, Oct. 28.
