Dreamer of Education and Vacation

Hello! My name is Ciara Gaches! I am so excited to serve my second year for the 2024-2025 semester. I have loved serving students new to ISU and helping them begin this new journey in their lives. I am a proud first-generation student, which is a huge part of who I am. I’ve lived in Idaho Falls for the vast majority of my life, and I adore it there. There’s nothing I love more than spending time with my family in Idaho Falls. Contrastingly, you can almost always find me searching my travel app for my next vacation to somewhere much warmer than here!

I currently work as both a registered behavior technician providing ABA services and an assistant high school debate coach, both of which bring me incredible amounts of joy. I am planning on getting my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, which has been my dream for as long as I can remember. Currently (Spring 2024), I am enrolled in a psychology clinic practicum with Dr. Peer, where I get to assist graduate students treat clients, which has been such a fun educational experience. I hope to be able to continue this as I enter my final year here as an undergraduate at ISU. I am also excited to begin my honors research this fall about intervention and treatment with children of developmental disabilities.
