Posted September 7, 2012

Seniors, age 50-plus, who wish to join the innovative Snake River New Horizons Music Program in Pocatello are invited to attend an orientation and  practice session at 4 p.m. Sept 12 at the Idaho State Continuing Education Building, Room 125, at 1001 North 7th Ave.

This program is being offered through ISU Continuing Education’s New Knowledge Adventures program. It was started in September 2011 and performed at several events throughout the year. There are usually at least 20 players in attendance at the practice sessions and concerts.

New Horizons Music is an innovative program that teaches beginning musicians over the age of 50. New Horizons Bands are made up of seniors, many of whom are new to playing a musical instrument. Members are encouraged to bring their music instruments to the session.
