Yvonne Perez to be Women and Work Conference keynote speaker

This year’s Idaho State University's Women and Work Conference held on Wednesday, March 10, is the 10th conference presented by the ISU Center for New Directions.

In celebration of the anniversary, the Center is offering additional activities and raffle prizes including an Electronic Book Reader and a Netbook. 

Yvonne Perez will kick off the conference with her keynote address at 8:45 a.m. in the ISU Pond Student Union Bengal Theatre. She is an American Falls native and ISU graduate who earned her Master of Public Administration degree in Political Science. Perez works as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer and established the local Kincare program which provides support for adults raising relatives’ children. She will speak about overcoming personal challenges while accomplishing her dreams to attend college. Perez's keynote session is free of charge and open to the public.
