Kristin Plucar is originally from the Midwest.  Plucar grew up in Wisconsin in various small towns and cities.  Her favorite years were spent along Lakes Michigan and Superior.  Plucar moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to attend college at the University of Minnesota and received a B.A. in the Studio Arts with an emphasis in ceramics.  She now considers the Minneapolis area as home (her family tends to congregate there).

Plucar has lived in Japan on two separate occasions and has traveled in Asia and Europe.  Pocatello has been her first experience in the Intermountain West, and she has come to love it!  Plucar is planning on graduating in May 2010 from Idaho State University with her Master of Fine Arts Degree from the Department of Art and Pre-Architecture.  Her focus at this point has been drawing with incorporating printmaking and painting into her compositions.
