The Idaho State University Janet C. Anderson Gender Resource Center has announced Idaho State University’s observance of Equal Pay Day.
The public is invited to an information session on gender pay equity sponsored by Idaho State University Professional Women (ISUPW). The event will be held on Tuesday, April 28, in Suite B of the Rendezvous Complex on the Pocatello campus of ISU. This event will feature David Miller, director of ISU's Office of Human Resources and Barbara Adamcik, ISU associate vice president for Academic Affairs, who will speak to the issue of pay equity on campus. The Idaho State University Choirs will present a spring concert, Friday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cheryl H. and Joseph C. Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.
Scott Anderson, ISU director of choral activities, announced that the May 1 concert will be the final semester performance of the ISU Department of Music choral ensembles. The Idaho Falls High School A Cappella Choir, under the direction of Zola Jensen, will be featured as a special guest of the ISU Choirs. Professor Kathleen Lane will conduct the ISU Women’s Choir, while Anderson will lead the ISU Concert and Chamber Choirs. (more…)

Idaho State University-Boise will graduate its largest class ever during commencement exercises at 2 p.m., May 2, at The Grove Hotel in downtown Boise.
The University will award 155 graduate and undergraduate degrees in the health sciences—that’s 36 more than last year. (more…)
The Idaho State University Concert Choir, conducted by Dr. Scott Anderson, will perform "Te Deum" by faculty composer Randy Earles at the choral concert at 7:30 p.m. May 1 in the Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.
"Te Deum" is a an extended composition for choir, soloists and chamber ensemble based on a well-known Latin text. This will be the premiere performance of this piece. The ISU Women’s Choir and the ISU Chamber Choir will also be performing during the concert. (more…)
The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates as many as 35,000 Idahoans may be living with a severe traumatic brain injury, yet Idaho has few community resources to assist TBI patients after they leave acute-care facilities and return home to live.
Many patients—with health insurance benefits exhausted and unable to work full time—are left with limited funds to cover immediate needs, such as housing or transportation costs, said Russell Spearman, M.Ed., a senior research associate in the Institute of Rural Health at Idaho State University-Boise.
