Birdseye view of Idaho State University

The Master of Social Work (MSW) program will launch in fall 2018. Our new MSW program will prepare graduates for advanced social work practice with a quality, primarily seated program on the Pocatello campus. We offer two options in the MSW program, a one-year, advanced standing track for those with a BA in Social Work (2 year part-time); and a traditional two-year track for those who do not have a social work BA degree (4 year part-time). The program is going through the 3-year Candidacy Model with CSWE and will be fully accredited by 2021.

Curriculum Plans for the 4 tracks being offered:

Standard Admission:

Two-Year, Full-Time Study Curriculum Plan (without BSW degree)

Four-Year, Part-Time Study Course Progression

Advanced Standing Admission:

One-Year, Full-Time Study Curriculum Plan (with BSW degree)

Two-Year, Part-Time Study Course Progression
