Get Admitted by the Deadline
Fall entry: June 1st
Spring entry: November 1st
Your application for admission to ISU serves as your "scholarship application". As a nonresident freshmen you are considered for the Nonresident Tuition Waiver and/or the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) waiver. Please click here for more information.
The following admissions documents must be received by this deadline to be considered for automatic scholarships:
- Completed Application for Admission, including a paid application fee
- Official high school transcripts (6 to 7 semester transcript will be sufficient for scholarship consideration). Students will need to have a final transcript sent to the Admissions Office upon High School graduation for completion of the admissions process
- ACT or SAT required for Non-Idaho Residents who are homeschooled and for students from non-accredited high schools.
Complete the FAFSA
Some scholarship awarding is based on demonstrated financial need. To be considered for any need-based awards, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the appropriate year.
We encourage students to submit the FAFSA as soon as possible.

Apply for Additional Scholarships
Log into the Bengal Online Scholaship System (BOSS) starting January for fall admittance or October for spring admittance to apply for additional scholarships at ISU.
Apply for Outside/External Scholarships
Browse the external scholarship list in BOSS more opportunities.
Also visit the National Scholarship Search Databse.
Remember, you should never pay to apply to a scholarship. Do not provide your SSN#. Be cautious of scams.
