All Abilities Yurt Trip
February 5-6, 2022

The Mink Creek yurt is located about 25 yards from the parking lot which simplifies access. Come and enjoy the yurt experience with all of the luxuries of car camping plus a wood burning stove.The Mink Creek Nordic Center has around 10 miles of groomed trails for XC skiing and snowshoeing. Fees cover transportation, yurt rental, dinner, and fuel. Group Size 10.

Cost: HOG: $10; ISU Student: $10 or FREE if this is your first trip with the OAC; ISU Affiliate: $20
Last day to sign-up date: February 2, 2022
Pre-trip meeting: February 2, 5:30pm at the Outdoor Adventure Center office located on the first level of the Pond Student Union.

Craters of the Moon Cross Country Ski Trip

Put on your skis and come glide with us through Craters of the Moon National Preserve. Enjoy the crystalline lava rock structures frozen in time as we ski along the trails. Trip fees cover equipment and transportation. Beginner friendly, group size 10.

Yurt Trip Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe
February 26-27, 2022

Spend an evening in a yurt. Two miles of travel brings you to a vista outside the yurt overlooks the Marsh Valley and the Portnuef and Bannock Mountain Ranges. The next morning take a short tour of the area before heading back down the trail. Trip fees cover transportation, ski/snowshoe, yurt rental, and fuel. You’re responsible for personal gear and food. Group size 6.

Cost: ISU Student: $20 or FREE if this is your first trip with the OAC; ISU Affiliate: $30

Pre-trip meeting: February 23, 5:30pm at the Outdoor Adventure Center office located on the first level of the Pond Student Union.

City of Rocks

A great way to explore City of Rocks National Reserve and Castle Rocks State Park is on snowshoes or cross-country skis. Routes are not groomed, but there are miles of trails available for the adventurous winter traveler. Hiking trails are open to skiing and snowshoeing, most of the camping road loops remain un-plowed and make ideal ski and snowshoe routes. Trip fees cover equipment and transportation. Beginner friendly. Group size: 10.
