Student Veterans

The Idaho State University New Student Orientation Team and Veterans Student Services Center (VSSC) provides resources to student veterans and military-connected students in a unique New Student Orientation program (NSO). Some of these additional resources include:

  • small groups that educate student veterans on current issues and challenges they may face while pursuing a degree in higher education.
  • connections with the director and staff members of the VSSC who serve both student veterans, dependents, and their families.
  • a personalized WELCOME breakfast that allows student veterans and military-connected students to connect with campus resources, veteran's staff, and fellow student veterans before NSO kick-off.

Idaho State University values the success of service members/veterans in their pursuit of a college degree because of the knowledge, experience, and ethics they bring to the classroom. Come join us and the New Student Orientation Team and let us guide you through your transition from military life to your new future here at Idaho State University.
