Trisha Brinkley - Social and Swag Coordinator
My name is Trisha Brinkley, and I am a senior in the Social Work program here at Idaho State University. Originally, I am from the Boise, Idaho area, but Pocatello has quickly become my second home. Thanks to New Student Orientation, I felt comfortable making my transition to college life as a freshman and was made excited of all of the opportunities that this university offers; I joined the New Student Orientation team in order to aid other new students in feeling the same. I believe that all students should be welcomed and encouraged as they begin this new chapter of their lives, and this program gives me the opportunity to help do that.
Duston Walton - Week of Welcome Coordinator
Hello! My name is Dustyn Walton and I am from Gillette, Wyoming. I will be starting my fourth year at Idaho State University in Fall 2019, double majoring in Exercise Science and Psychology while also obtaining my honors degree by completing an undergraduate thesis.
Since I have been at Idaho State University, I have made it a goal to be involved in everything possible and seek opportunities to help current and future students. These opportunities have included: First Year Experience Mentor, University Honors Program (UHP) Mentor, UHP Club Vice-President, UHP Club President, and a New Student Orientation (NSO) Leader/Coordinator.
One of the most fun experiences I’ve had is serving as a New Student Orientation Leader which made me want to be involved further and become a New Student Orientation Coordinator! This is a great opportunity to make the first experience at Idaho State University unforgettable for new Bengals and a great way to welcome them to the Bengal family! Through this position, I will be able to share my passion for ISU with new students and hopefully, they will share the same passion over their years at this amazing university!
