Idaho State University 2019 Outstanding Student Award recipients announced; banquet April 22

POCATELLO – Idaho State University and the ISU Alumni Association proudly announce the 2019 Outstanding Student Award recipients who will be honored at Spring Commencement on Saturday, May 4, in Holt Arena.

Annual Kasiska Research Day will focus on prevention

MERIDIAN - “Prevention: The Role of the Health Professional” is the theme of the Idaho State University Kasiska Division of Health Sciences annual Research Day. The event is Friday, April 19, 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in Meridian and Pocatello.


ISU Speech and Language clinics provide free treatment for children, thanks to funds from Scottish Rite Foundation

MERIDIAN--Over the last two years, over $12,000 in scholarships from the Scottish Rite Foundation have helped supplement the costs of speech language pathology treatment for underserved children who visit Idaho State Universy's Speech and Language clincs.

MERIDIAN—Basic physical and dental exams and onsite testing for blood sugar levels are included in free services offered at a community health screening Thursday, April 11, 4-7 p.m., at Snake River Elementary School, 500 Stampede Drive, in Nampa.


Meridian professors working to improve outcomes for children who are deaf or hard of hearing

MERIDIAN – Two Idaho State University-Meridian researchers have received a $290,000 grant from the Philadelphia-based Oberkotter Foundation to help parents of Idaho children who are deaf or hard of hearing to better understand a child’s needs at an early age.


Free community hearing screenings at Idaho State University-Meridian, February-April

MERIDIAN—Get your hearing checked for free at a series of screenings starting Thursday, Feb. 21, 3-6 p.m., at the Speech and Language Clinic at Idaho State University-Meridian, 1311 E. Central Drive.
