Marketing Materials Approval Committee

The mission of the Marketing Materials Approval Committee (MMAC) is to establish a clear, unified Idaho State University brand. Instituted by President Arthur C. Vailas, the committee members review all marketing materials to ensure they represent the University consistently and accurately. Attributes such as design, photography, copy and adherence to the University’s Graphic Identity Standards are all considered when approving any promotional materials.

Types of Materials

All items intended to promote Idaho State University to either internal or external audiences should be submitted to the MMAC for approval. Examples include: brochures, advertisements, newsletters, annual reports, recruitment materials, posters, invitations, postcards and promotional give away items (i.e. mugs, pens, t-shirts). Additionally, any promotional material distributed electronically, such as an e-newsletter, should be submitted.

Getting Materials Approved

Prior College Approval: Each College (or other campus unit) is responsible for the promotional materials generated within its area. Marketing materials must be approved at the College level before submission to the MMAC for final approval. Colleges are responsible for proofreading, accurately reflecting the University and meeting ISU’s Graphic Identity Standards throughout the materials prior to submitting them to the MMAC.

Submit: Email all promotional materials for approval prior to being produce or distributed.
Submission Deadline: The MMAC meets every Monday at 1 p.m. in the President's large conference room in the Administration Building. Submissions are due by 9 a.m. that morning. Extensive materials, such as a newsletter or magazine, should be submitted no later than the Thursday before the scheduled meeting. Items can be emailed to Joey Gifford or sent via mail to:
