Soils, Dirt, and Paint Summer Camp 2022

June 6 - 10, 2022

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cost: $75

For Ages: 10 to 13

Students will get dirty in this hands-on camp exploring the world beneath our feet in this week long summer camp for the low price of $75! They will learn about the minerals that make up soils, how soils are critical to plants, animals, and their environments. Learners will also be able to see how the first people of Idaho have used clays and soils for thousands of years, creating their own pottery and art with natural soil and clay materials.

Oceans & Idaho

Oceans and Idaho Summer Camp

July 12 - 14, 2022

10 a.m. to 2 p.m

Cost: $55

For Ages: 3rd-6th graders

Registration is required

Idaho was once covered with thriving oceans, and our link to the Pacific Ocean remains key for both humans and our environment today. From fossil sea life dating back over 200 million years, to modern ocean organisms, students will get to examine what goes on beneath the waves. Students will also get to explore how oceans still shape lives in Idaho today, from tourism to shipping, to salmon.

The Lost Trekkers

The Lost Trekkers Summer Camp 2022

Going into 6th-8th grade

Registration is Required

Because of COVID, many Idaho students haven't been able to take part in Science Trek for the last two years. We're offering learners going into 6th-8th grade a chance to recapture part of what they lost with this camp. Explore ISU and get hands-on experience tackling real issues from various scientists across the ISU community. Unlike prior science trek activities, this will be a one-day camp with no overnight component.
