MUGGLE MAGIC

OUR ANNUAL MUGGLE MAGIC WILL BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 10, 2018.

Since 2012, the Idaho Museum of Natural History has combined the magical world of Harry Potter with the real magic of science to bring Idaho the original Muggle Magic! We will transform the IMNH into the IMNH School of Nature and Science.

This year, attend the Potions 208 class with Professor Snape and Professor Sprouts and follow tried and true magical potion recipes to make Felix Felicis, Veritaserum, and Wit Sharpening Potion (“Smarty Pants”); write with invisible ink and reveal your secret message; visit the wand shop and learn about the magic of wands and their enchanting spells; see some Fantastic Beasts; and many, many more!

Muggle Magic will include activities from the ISU Department of Anthropology, the ISU Department of Physics, Chuck Peterson of ISU Department of Biology, Zoo Idaho, Pocatello Greenhouse, and Museum Staff.

Help Free Dobby!

This time of year, many are need of a good pair of socks. We are holding a sock drive for Aid for Friends. Bring in a NEW pair of socks - any size, any brand - and receive a free admission ticket to the museum to use at a later date.
