Additional Honors Specific Scholarship Opportunities
Bennion Scholar Program
Samuel Horne Bennion was a legendary Idaho businessman who was absolutely committed to Idaho State University. Over his lifetime he donated millions of dollars to Idaho State University. As one of his final gifts, in Fall 2005 Mr. Bennion gave nearly $700,000 to the Idaho State University Honors Program. He had one request -- he wanted Idaho’s best and brightest to stay and gain their educations in Idaho.
In order to be considered for the Bennion Scholar Program scholarship there are two requirements:
- You must apply to Idaho State University by February 15
- You must apply to the Idaho State University Honors Program by February 15
This scholarship is designed to aid those Honors students that are transferring to Idaho State University from another higher education campus or a late-entry into the Honors Program (i.e. second semester of their first-year or beyond). Students must have been admitted into the Honors Program before they are eligible to apply for the I-Care Scholarship. In addition, students must enroll in and maintain full-time student status (12 credits per semester) and meet the Honors requirements.
The I-Care Scholarship is made possible by donations by various community sponsors and parents of University Honors students.
