Idaho State University Japan Club announces fall events

POCATELLO – Idaho State University’s Japan Club has released its full list of events for the fall semester.

Below is a full listing of Japan Club’s events for the next two months.

Thursday, Sept. 21:

• 6-7:30 p.m. – Presentation of Japanese-American history by Sami Tadehara. This event is free and is in the Pond Student Union Clearwater Room.

Thursday, Sept. 28:

• 6-8 p.m. – Japanese movie night, part one. Everyone is invited to watch the historical drama, “Japanese Americans.” This event is free to attend and is in the Pond Student Union Bengal Café.

Thursday, Oct. 26:

• 6-8 p.m. – Japanese movie night, part two. Everyone is invited to watch the historical drama, “Japanese Americans.” This event is free and is in the Pond Student Union Bengal Café.

Saturday, Oct. 28:

• 5:30-9 p.m. – Japan Night. This event will feature traditional Japanese foods, booths, and performances, including dancing, martial arts, music and drumming. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the event will begin at 6 p.m. Admission is $7 for students, $8 for faculty and staff, and $9 for the public. Tickets at the door will cost $10. Tickets can be purchased before the event in Pond Student Union from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 23-27.

Thursday, Nov. 2:

• 6-7:30 p.m. – Presentation of Japanese Shinto Religion and Manners by Yuko Ito. This event is free and open to the public. The presentation is in the Clearwater Room of the Pond Student Union.

Thursday, Nov. 30:

• 6-8 p.m. – Japanese movie night, part three. Everyone is invited to watch the historical drama, “Japanese Americans.” This event is free and is in the Pond Student Union Bengal Café.
