Robert "Bob" Poyser
Bob Poyser retired in 2013 following forty years of service to AREVA US, the American subsidiary of AREVA FR. He held the position of Vice President of Regional Affairs and VP of AREVA Enrichment Services, LLC, where he oversaw the Idaho Falls operations. Prior to that, he served as the Vice President of Environmental Affairs for AREVA Inc. in Bethesda, Maryland, following its formation in 2001. The AREVA Group is a world leader in nuclear energy, nuclear fuel, power transmission and distribution. AREVA Enrichment Services LLC (AES) was formed in 2007 to lead the possible licensing, construction and operation of a state-of-the-art gas centrifuge enrichment plant planned for development near Idaho Falls, Idaho. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from California Polytechnic State University, and has extensive experience in mining, mine-land reclamation, property acquisition, environmental regulations and nuclear environments. Poyser served on the Idaho Governor’s Workforce Development Council and on the board of directors for Partnership for Science and Technology. At ISU, he facilitated an endowed scholarship agreement with AREVA.
