Timothy "Tim" Olson
Director and Chair of the Nominating Committee
Timothy Olson holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from ISU’s College of Business. He is well connected in the political, healthcare and philanthropic enclaves within Idaho. He has had an extensive career in labor relations, government relations, and human resources. Currently, he is the owner of Pinnacle Business Group LLC, a lobbying firm. An abbreviated list of his previous positions include: Vice President, Corporate and Governmental Affairs, Regence Blue Shield of Idaho; Executive Director, Northwest Mining Association; Executive Director, Itex Environmental Services; and, Vice President, HR/Administrative Services, Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp.
Olson has served on numerous boards of directors, both statewide and in his local communities, including Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry, American Heart Association of Idaho, Foundation for Idaho History, Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho, Coeur d’Alene School District #271 Board Member, Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, Kootenai Medical Center, Idaho United Credit Union, Idaho Foundation for Private Enterprise and Economic Education, Idaho Foundation for Excellence in Higher Education, United Way, and many more.
As a student at ISU, Olson played on the Bengal basketball team. More recently, he served on the College of Business Advisory Board for many years, and is a generous and continual donor to many ISU programs.
