Randall Hudspeth, PhD
Randy Hudspeth holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from ISU. In addition, he holds an MS/MBA - Advanced Practice Nursing Nurse Practitioner degree from Syracuse University, and a PhD with a functional area in nursing regulation and practice from NYU.
During his career, Hudspeth held several high level administrative clinical positions at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, achieving the post of Deputy Chief of Nursing Affairs. After returning to Idaho, he served as Chief Clinical Officer and Nurse Practioner at Idaho Cardiology Associates in Boise, as Director of Advanced Practice and Specialty Nursing for Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, and finally as the Chief Clinical and Nursing Officer and consultant for Cleveland Clinic Health System’s International Division.
Hudspeth served on numerous professional boards, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, National Council of State Boards of Nursing, where he was Treasurer, the Idaho State Board of Nursing, where he was vice-chair and chair, Idaho State Health and Welfare Department Rural Health Access Program, and many others.
At ISU, Hudspeth served on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the School of Nursing and received a Professional Achievement Award in 2010. He and wife, Ingrid, have established an endowed scholarship for nursing.
