Dr. Fahim Rahim is a nephrologist and co-founder of the Idaho Kidney Institute. He is affiliated with Bingham Memorial Hospital and Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He and his brother and partner, Dr. Naeem Rahim were the first Idahoans to receive the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, which they received in 2010 for their contributions to achievements in dialysis and kidney care. 

 Dr. Rahim also serves as Chairman of the Idaho based JRM Foundation for Humanity, best known for the Idaho Hometown Heroes Award.  In 2015, Rahim’s and the foundation’s efforts were directed to significant relief efforts following a massive earthquake in Nepal. At ISU, Dr. Rahim and his foundation have provided funding for scholarships and organized Unity Rally in 2016, which brought thousands to the ISU campus for a day of entertainment and speakers on topics, such as unity, diversity, and respect.
