EHS provides a number of health and safety classes designed to provide employees and students the skills and knowledge to perform traditional and academic work in a safe and healthful manner. 

Common courses offered by EHS include: Asbestos Awareness, Chemical Hygiene in Laboratories, Formaldehyde Safety, Hazard Communication, Hazardous Waste, Lead Safety,  Respiratory Protection and Universal Waste, and Oil Handling.

Scheduled Training

Respirator Protection Training

Respiratory Protection Training is required to be completed by those individuals who will be enrolled in the ISU Respiratory Protection Program. Participant will learn about when respirator use is appropriate, the care, use, types, and limitations of respirators, and program requirements.

Training is scheduled for: 

Wednesday, September 29th, 2pm - 3pm

Lead Safety Awareness
The lead awareness training class is designed to introduce and train individuals whose normal work activities have the potential for them to come into contact with Lead.
This class is not a certification class for the Renovation, Repair and Painting of Lead painted surfacing or Lead Abatement.

Training is scheduled for:
