The Bachelor of Science Program in Electrical Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Electrical, Computer, Communications, Telecommunication(s), and Similarly Named Engineering Program Criteria.

Declaring an ECE Major

To declare an Electrical Engineering (EE) major or Computer Engineering (CompE) major, a student must have an overall GPA of 2.0, with all the key courses having no grade lower than C-. The student will not be allowed to register for any ECE upper division courses (i.e. those numbered 300 or above) until they have officially declared an ECE major by working with the College of Science and Engineering advisor.

Degree Requirements

The program of study for the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree must include 121 credits as specified in the ISU Course Catalog.

The program of study for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE) degree must include 120 credits as specified in the ISU Course Catalog.
