E-Text Accommodation

Disability Services provides alternative texts, E-Texts, for students with qualifying disabilities. E-Texts are alternative forms of course books that provide accessiblity to the content in the course books.

The most common form of E-Texts are PDFs, Portable Document Formats. Using the Read&Write program that Disability Services provides to their students, the text within PDFs can be read aloud. This often creates accessibility for students. There are other types of E-Texts as well. Please contact your Disability Services Specialist if you would like to explore other types of E-Texts.

Each semester, students must complete the following steps to receive the E-Text versions of their required course books.
