The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the job market for RDNs will grow nationally by 11% between 2018 and 2028. As preventable diseases and conditions such as hypertension and cardiovascular disease are on the rise, registered dietitians are increasingly more in demand as part of the medical team. Plus, RDNs are needed in public health settings, consulting firms, retail settings, nonprofit organizations, schools, and independent practice.
