I have been a dietitian for over 25 years, focusing on clinical nutrition in the hospital setting. I became an adjunct instructor for the ISU Dietetic Internship in 2004. In January of 2018 I accepted the position of Coordinator of the Dietetic Internship. I provide lectures on nutrition assessment and monitoring, critical care nutrition, enteral and parenteral feedings and diet therapy for different disease states. I support the interns during their internship rotations and ensure all their competencies for the internship have been met. I also currently work at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center as a clinical dietitian specializing in nutrition support for trauma, neuro, ortho and rehab patients. I received my nutrition degree from the University of Idaho and my Master’s in Human Nutrition and Biochemistry from Finch University (a division of the Chicago Medical School). Recently I attended a Nutrition Focused Physical Exam training provided by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I am a Peer Champion Trainer and have been training registered dietitians and interns in the Treasure Valley.  In my spare time I enjoy playing with my 2 children, mountain biking, road biking, running, going to concerts and watching movies.
