Emergency Services
If you are experiencing an imminent mental health emergency please call ISU Public Safety at (208) 282-2515 or 911 for immediate assistance.
If you are a student in need or assisting a student in need, contact our office at (208) 282-2130 and ask to speak with a counselor during our business hours. We are also happy to assist faculty and staff in getting connected to the EAP or finding a counselor in the community.
If you are a faculty or staff member and would like to report a concern or issue regarding a student, please complete this form. An Office of the Dean of Students staff member will contact you to discuss resources based on your report.
- As such, and to protect the safety of everyone, we are primarily offering telehealth options to students and following university guidelines on face coverings for the rare times that in-person services are needed.
- We encourage students to call to establish a telehealth triage to discuss their unique concerns with a counselor.
- If a student lacks the technology or a private space for an initial telehealth appointment, please let our staff know and we can arrange for you to have the telehealth session from the privacy of one of our offices.
We are available for consultations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday during the regular school year. During the summer, we are open from 7:30 am to 3 pm Monday-Friday.
The Counseling and Testing Service does not provide crisis services when our office is closed.
