Daily Drop-In Online Discussion Groups
Beginning the week of April 6th, the Counseling and Testing Service will be facilitating online drop-in discussion groups focused on helping students to manage adjustment challenges related to COVID-19. These 60-minute groups are described below and one will be offered each day, Monday-Friday.
The discussion groups are designed to offer helpful skills including managing anxiety, adjusting to remote learning, and healthy approaches to social isolation as well as creating a platform for students to talk to each other for support and exchange of ideas. These discussion groups do not provide mental health treatment. If you would like to speak with a counselor, call us at (208) 282-2130. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact 911 or the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline: 211 (press 3 when prompted).
Each online discussion group will be held over Zoom. Good Wi-Fi connection and capability for video chat are required. To participate in the group a password is required. Please email the facilitator to receive the password. Once you have received the password you will be able to click on the link for the group that you would like to attend at the appointed time. Return as many times as you like.
Online discussion groups are eligible for ISU community members. Email the group facilitator to request a password to join the group.
