Idaho State University’s College of Arts & Letters recently named 295 students to their Spring 2017 dean’s list. Of the 295 students on the list, 276 are from Idaho.

“It is always great to see so many students succeeding in the College of Arts & Letters,” said Dean Kandi Turley-Ames. “We congratulate each student on the outstanding achievement, and we look forward to seeing what they will all achieve in the future.”

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete at least 12 semester credits and receive a grade point average of 3.66 or higher.

The students on the dean’s list range from each discipline in the social sciences, humanities and fine arts.

The 46 cities include Pocatello, Boise, Idaho Falls, Ammon, Chubbuck, Blackfoot, Rexburg, American Falls, Challis, Twin Falls, McCammon and more.

Other students on the list come from Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, Oregon, Arizona, California, Utah, Washington, Japan, Sweden and Nigeria.

For the past year, the College has been working on recruiting more students from Eastern Idaho through the Liberal Arts High program, Road Scholars and On-Campus Dual-Enrollment. The efforts prove to be paying off, as preliminary data shows that new freshmen enrollment for the fall 2017 semester is up 9.2 percent in College of Arts & Letters.
