The College Welcomes John Gribas as New Associate Dean

The College has welcomed John Gribas as the new associate dean for the Social and Behavior Sciences, taking over for Mark McBeth. Gribas is currently the director of general studies and college program assessment, as well as a professor in the Department of Communication, Media, and Persuasion. He received his Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas in 1993, and began teaching at ISU in 1996. He has also served as program director for the Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies in 2012-2013 and as the ISU Faculty Ombudsperson from 2005-2013.

The College is grateful for McBeth and the tireless time he invested into making the College stronger over the past three years. He helped launch the College’s iPad Initiative, the Integrated Research Center, and the Liberal Arts High program, among others. We know he will continue to do great things in the Department of Political Science.
